HYDRO POWER
GCL has a portfolio of Hydro Power projects located in Himachal Pradesh, as part of our commitment to environmental causes and our vision for the future. These Hydro Power plants have a capacity for generating almost 51 MW of electricity through sustainable energy sources. These projects include -
- Usaka Hydro Power Project - This is a cascading operational project that can generate upto 5 MW of electricity.
- Gaur Hydro Power Project - The Gaur Hydro Power Project is an advanced stage project on Sarwari Nallah, a tributary of River Beas in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. It can generate electricity upto 2 MW.
GCL continues its venture into Hydro power and has been allotted and acquired additional hydro power projects that can generate an additional 44 MW of electricity. These projects are under various stages of development and are located in Kangra, Chamba and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh.
