We are also in the field of processing/manufacturing Silver Foils/Vark. It is a foil composed of pure silver used for garnishing sweets in South Asian Cuisines. It is also used as an ingredient for Tobacco and Pan Products such as Chewing Tobacco, Pan Chatni, Silver Coated Cardamom Seeds, and Betel nuts.
The Silver is edible, though flavourless. Vark is made by pounding silver into sheet a few micrometres thick and backed with paper for support; this paper is peeled away before use. It is very brittle and breaks into smaller to smallest pieces, if touched.

The Group is involved in the generation of renewable energy in the form of “Run-of-the-river” hydroelectricity. It is a type of hydroelectric generation whereby little or no water storage is used, so no building of dams or dislocation of inhabitants or any adverse impact on the environment.
The main structure of a run-of-river plant is simply to redirect water flow from a small head pond (known as WEIR) towards the water delivery pipe (known as PENSTOCK), which feeds the water downhill to the powerhouse. The natural force of gravity generates the energy used to spin the turbines located in the powerhouse, which converts the energy from water to generate electricity.
Gopal Group has a portfolio of Hydro Power Projects with a capacity generation of almost 51 MW, located in Himachal Pradesh. It includes cascading operational project Usaka Hydro Power Project (5 MW) and advanced stage project Gaur Hydro Power Project (2 MW) on Sarwari Nallah, a tributary of River Beas in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh. Apart from the above, the Group has been allotted and has acquired additional 44 MW of hydropower projects under various stages of development in Kangra, Chamba and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh.
The 1st of the projects of the Group, Usaka Hydro Power has been operational since October, 2012 and has been running successfully, generating electricity units exceeding the Project Report projections. The sale of units generated has already been tied up with Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board (HPSEB) with a long term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) lasting 40 years.
